Stadium Tour

Prior to dinner, we finished off the first day with an Upton Park Stadium Tour.  Ben Illingworth, Chief Operating Officer of WHUFC showed us the Board of Directors room, the view of the field from the second deck, both changing rooms, and the game field.  He allowed all of us to walk onto the field for photo opportunities.  Overall, it was a fairly simple day.  Obviously that was needed due to the fatigue of flying with little sleep.  Mr. Illingworth shared with the boys the expectation of being a West Ham United FC Academy Player.  While they are here, they must wear all WHUFC training gear and act accordingly.  The supportors of the club expect the academy players to be respectful and act at a high level.  Lunch after training.  Back to Upton Park for the 5:30 WHUFC vs Sunderland Match.  Dinner out and then back to our rooms for lights out.
